As the #1 Loan Officer at Homeside/Lower and a division leader managing a group that closes roughly $1B annually, he’s recognized for his expertise in coaching, mentoring, and speaking at industry events. John regularly leads loan officers and real estate professionals, sharing his proven strategies on time-blocking, mindset discipline, and building powerful lender–agent partnerships. Above all, John is known for his authenticity—he deeply values the human connection and cares for every client from the very first conversation with the goal of building a lifelong consultive relationship

Tayler Fick,
Loan Officer
Tayler graduated from the University of Iowa in 2016 and quickly found her passion in mortgage lending. She trained under John Cornish for four years before officially joining Team Cornish in 2020, shortly after welcoming her first child. Today, as a Loan Officer, Tayler specializes in guiding buyers through pre-approvals and loan structuring, ensuring every client is placed in the best financial situation for their needs. Tayler is deeply committed to helping Team Cornish exceed expectations with seamless loan execution and unmatched customer service. She thrives on the collaboration, learning, and growth that come from working alongside her teammates, and finds joy in helping clients achieve one of life’s greatest milestones—purchasing a home. For Tayler, the reward is not just the closing, but also empowering buyers with a clear understanding of their financial journey. A proud Bettendorf native, Tayler actively gives back to her community through her service on the board of the Friends of Bettendorf Parks Foundation and the Key Cares Foundation. When she isn’t serving clients or her community, Tayler can be found with her husband, their three children, and their Great Dane, Windsor. She loves a good patio hangout, playing golf, spending time with her nieces and nephews, and enjoying family dinners.

Ryan Roman
Loan Officer
Ryan has been a trusted professional in the lending industry for the past 15 years. He began his career at Blackhawk Bank & Trust, gaining valuable experience across multiple departments before moving to Modern Woodmen Bank, where he spent three years as both a loan processor and loan closer. For the past seven years, Ryan has played a key role alongside John Cornish as Pipeline Manager and Loan Originator, helping drive the team’s success. Known as the team’s “loan detective,” Ryan excels at navigating even the most complex files. He thrives on finding solutions where others may see roadblocks and is relentless in pursuing every option to secure the best outcome for clients. His expertise, persistence, and sharp problem-solving skills ensure that no challenge goes unexplored—and that clients receive the best possible lending experience. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys life in Bettendorf, Iowa, with his wife Heather and their two children. He stays active coaching his son’s baseball, football, wrestling, and golf teams, while cheering on his daughter’s love of singing and dancing. When he’s not with family, Ryan can be found golfing, playing cards, cooking, or watching sports. He’s proud to be part of a company where excellence is the standard and teamwork drives every success.

Lindsay Frederick,
Business Operations Coordinator
Lindsay began her career with Homeside Financial in 2021 as a Lending Coordinator, with aspirations of one day joining Team Cornish. In August 2023, she stepped into that role as John Cornish’s Business Operations Coordinator. She lives by the motto of “making other people feel important”, a value that carried her through a 14-year career in healthcare before transitioning into the mortgage industry. While caring for athletes and helping them recover from injuries was rewarding, Lindsay discovered her true niche in operations—developing policies, procedures, and processes, and organizing systems that keep teams running at their best. Her introduction to Key Mortgage was personal: while she and her wife Bethany were building their own home, Lindsay was impressed by John’s team and the way they made her feel valued every step of the way. That experience led her to join the team, where she quickly found joy in supporting people through one of the most important financial and personal milestones of their lives—purchasing a home. In her current role, Lindsay ensures the team stays organized, executes seamlessly on behalf of clients and partners, and creates experiences built on trust, not just transactions. She is known for going above and beyond to make every client feel important from the very first call through long after closing. Lindsay and Bethany live in Hampshire, Illinois with their tripod rescue dog, Scout. They built their dream home next door to their lifelong best friends and nephews, and she treasures being an active part of their lives. Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys being active, watching sports, reading, traveling, and, most of all, spending time with family and friends. She is grateful for the life she’s built and excited for all the chapters still to come.
